I can work with any deliverable. To assemble a duet or dual-POV book, I split each narrator’s files whichever way the project calls for — by identifying the spaces in their audio, by a clicker track if one was used, or strictly off the manuscript. From there I match the two voices to each other with EQ and loudness control so they read as one seamless book — and every one of those adjustments stays open to revisit at any point in the process.
I edit as I proof — both happen in the same pass, so problems get caught and fixed together instead of handed off and missed.
On the editing side, I bring a degree in audio engineering and a top-of-the-line listening environment — an ear sharp enough to shave with. I identify and remove background noise, mouth clicks, plosives, and long silences; adjust levels; cut repeated phrases; and apply whatever timing the spec requires.
On the proofing side, ten years in journalism gave me a deep command of English and a relentless eye for detail — catching mispronunciations, missed words, and the wrong word slipped in for the right one, right down to a character voiced with the wrong accent or voice.
